PREPARE TO WET EMBOSS YOUR LASERCUTS:
1.         Using a script stamp of your choice, firstly mask the elements you wish to stamp and emboss on your diecuts.  I only embossed some of the birds and elements.  I used washi tape to mask off the parts I didn’t want to stamp.

2.         Stamp using your Script Stamp with an EMBOSSING pad.  Immediately apply COPPER embossing powder and set with a heat gun.

BACKGROUND:
3.         Using your two PINK papers, ink all the way around (leaving middles.
4.         Adhere your 1,5cm scalloped STRIPE strips 5,5cm horizontally from top edge of page along both pages so scallops face the top edge.
5.         Directly below this adhere your two 15cm DOT papers.  Where these papers join, adhere your ½ cm piece of Brown Cardstock to hide the seam.
6.         Directly below your DOT paper,  adhere your 1cm BROWN strips along both pages.

LEFT PAGE:
7.         Adhere one of your 9cm x 13,5cm PINK photo mats to the far left along your DOT strip.  NOTE:  this is a pocket, so only put THIN tape on the sides and bottom.  Using your two tags that you cut out, Fold your STRIPE tag toppers in half and adhere to the top with brads and insert into pocket. Use for journaling or extra photos.
8.         Mat your big PINK photo mat onto the big BROWN photo mat and adhere to the bottom right of page (about 2mm right and bottom edge)
 9.        Now, using your 9cm x 13cm  TIME IS piece of paper, cut a “V” from the bottom edge. Adhere this to the very top right edge of your Left Page.   To the top edge of this adhere your STRIPE and BROWN 9cm scalloped pieces.
10.        Cut your BIRDS ON A WIRE lasercut just past the 3rd bird.  Adhere this to the left of your TIME IS banner.

BOTTOM LEFT CLUSTER:

11.        First put down a Doiley to the bottom left of your big photo mat.  To the left of this at an angle adhere one of the big TORN NOTEPAPER pieces.  Add your BIRD CLUSTER to the bottom left corner of your photo mat (it should extend about 4cm off the photo mat to the left).
12.        Now add your two flowers and tuck your two feathers out the top.
13.        To the top of your flower adhere your rolled up Script paper.
14.        Adhere some cut out clocks to the bottom left corner as per example.  (I punched out clock hands to add extra dimension to my stamped clock images).

RIGHT PAGE:
15.        Add the remaining half of your BIRDS ON A WIRE laser along top edge of page so it flows with left page.
16.        Adhere your two remaining PINK photo mats spaced evenly to the left of the DOT strip.  To the top right of the second one tuck your doily underneath before you stick it down.
17.        Add a brown BROKEN CORNER to the top left of your first photo mat on pop dots.

TOP RIGHT CLUSTER:
 18.       To the top right corner, next to your photo mats adhere another two flowers (I folded the bottom big pink flower in half so it didn’t hide my photo) and then add a stamped out clock to the top)   To the right of this, adhere your 3D clock laser just above the Bird image on the DOT paper.  I used left over stamped clock piece to the right of this clock.

BOTTOM LEFT CLUSTER:
 19.       To the bottom left of this side, adhere your remaining two TORN SCRIPT papers at an angle, as per example.  To the top of this adhere your MAIN TITLE lasercut on pop dots.   It will extend over your 1cm BROWN strip.
20.        I finished off with a stamped out clock and some hearts that I freehand cut also raised on pop dots.

Adhere your photos and sit back and admire your handiwork !

I hope you have enjoyed this layout.  You can view more of my layouts on my blog:  www.homespunscrap.blogspot.com.

BACKGROUND:
  1. Use your PLAID papers for your background.
  2. Adhere your 2cm STRIPE/LACE piece to the far left of layout so it is about 2mm from left edge.  Lace faces left.
  3. Adhere your 1,5cm STRIPED scalloped piece along the far right of layout (scallop to face to the right).  Directly next to this adhere your BLACK QUOTE STRIP that you cut.

INNER BACKGROUND PINK DOT:
  1. Distress your two PINK DOT papers along top and bottom edges to give a nice rough edge.
  2. Then distress the left edge of the 26cm width piece for your left page and the Right edge of the 27cm width piece for your right page.   Refer example.  You need a nice distressed border all the way around.  MIDDLES DO NOT GET DISTRESSED !

  1. Flower / Doiley torn sections.
·         Use a spritz of water to soften the small section of paper you will be scrunching. (Scrunch as per my layout placement .. bottom left and top left of my LEFT page and bottom right of my RIGHT page).
·         Once the paper is damp scrunch it inward to create “V”.  Adhere a ½ doily behind.
·         Sew with a sewing machine in BLACK, all the way around the outside of both your DOT papers (not the middles).  Once sewn you can adhere these to your background PLAID paper so that the STRAIGHT middle pieces align exactly to the centre and that you have an even top and bottom edge.

LEFT PAGE:
  1. Stick your two 8cm x 8cm BLACK photo  mats to the bottom right of layout next to each other (about 0,5cm gaps from middle of layout and edge of sewing).
  2. Stick your  9,5cm x 15cm Pink DRESS FORM paper to the top of your BLACK photo mat (scallops to face left).
  3. Using the 8cm photo mats as a guide, line up this photo mat.  Adhere your Medium Dress form to the right of this (I raised mine).  Add a small piece of your BLACK Ruler beneath (as per above diagram)
  4. Adhere your two BLACK TAGS together with some Black Lace.  Leave about 3cm width between them.
  5. Adhere these tags to the far left of your Inner Background pieces to the far left of layout.
  6. Finish off by adding some BLACK ROSES to the torn clusters.

RIGHT PAGE:
  1. Add your main TITLE to the far left of layout about 0,5cm from middle edge o layout.
  2. Create your main photo mat by distressing your 16cm x 24cm FLOWER paper and adhering this to the top right of layout, just inside your sewing (about a 1 cm from top edge)
  3. Using your 14,5cm x 22,5cm Scalloped edged DRESS FORM paper, use a sewing machine again to double stitch a row around the outside edge.
  4. Once done, take top right corner and crunch it inwards .  Cut a small slit at the base of this crease and slide a piece of BLACK lace through and around to tie a knot to hold the crunched section together.  Stick to the FLOWER paper top right.   Once done, you can then stick a piece of Doiley behind to the top right and some flowers.
  5. Add the remainder of your RULER below this photo mat to the bottom of the layout and another doily and flower cluster to your final “V” in the bottom right of the layout.
BUTTERFLY TEMPLATE:
(Original design and template by Shirls Cards - www.shirlscards.com)

Using the template provided, cut three pieces of your patter paper big enough for the 2 x small butterflies and 1 x medium butterfly.

1.       Trace and cut out your template onto these three papers (not the middle piece)
2.       Score your pattern paper at approx. 3mm intervals as per example
3.       Now replace template onto your scored paper and cut out middle piece
4.       Pleat your papers neatly along your scored lines, and once done squeeze centre to find your middle
5.       This is the tricky part, while holding it closed, tie a ribbon / string, etc around it to secure together.  Leave tied bits to the top (the big half) to represent its antenna
6.       Once securely tied, you can now open up the pleated wings until you are happy with the butterfly.  Remember to ink.

BACKGROUND:
  • Use 2 x blue as your background, remember that the wording should go bottom on left sheet and right on the right page.
  • Adhere your pages together lightly at the back so you have one big layout to work on .. we will cut through later.

LEFT PAGE:
  • SUN:
  • Using a Scrap A4 paper, measure 6cm from top and 17cm from left edge. Draw a small circle to mark the point. Now using your ruler, draw Sunshine Rays from this centre point to the end of the sheet.  You should have 6 rays when you are finished (as per template below).
  • Number each piece and then cut them out individually.
  • Use these as templates to cut out your Swirl and stripe Sunrays accordingly.  (alternate between patterns)
  • Adhere your rays of sun to the top left corner of your background paper  (leave a small gap between rays as per above example)
  • When you are finished adhering them, add your first orange circle (sun) over the centre point.

  • Using your Orange Dot paper, adhere this so it extends over both pages, measuring 15cm from left and 5cm from top of layout.
  • Adhere your 5cm Stripe paper (deckled edge facing down) on top of this along bottom edge, so it is about 17cm from left and ½ cm from bottom edge of layout.
  • Mat your A5 photo onto the Brown Photo mat and adhere to left side of layout 5cm from top and 13cm from right edge.
  • Mat your 2 landscape photos onto the Brown Photo mats and adhere to the right of this photo.
  • Finally, mat your final portrait photo and adhere this the right of the above two mats (as per example) – BEFORE you stick this mat down, take your second Orange Circle and adhere beneath the bottom right of photo so it just peeks out.
  • Add your quote “if you are not barefoot…” above this photo mat.
  • Add your Quote strip along bottom of layout to extend over both pages.

BUNTING:
  • Using your 7 banners triangles, mat them onto your remaining Orange cardstock (I used a deckle scissors around the edges) and make two holes along top of each.
  • Thread your rope through tops of them, keeping 4 together and the other 3 together as two separate banners.
  • Adhere these with foam tape along top and right of layout.
  • Adhere your flags to the toothpicks and add ribbon to two of them.  Adhere to bottom right of layout next to your Quote Strip.
  • Finish off layout by cutting a piece of your Blue Swirl paper (about 9cm x 4cm) – cut so you can see waves.  Adhere this to bottom left of layout.  Add your matted Beach Rules quote, your Brown Journal tag (add Relax.. your’e on beach time quote to top of this tag),  and your remaining two flags and some tickets to complete the cluster.
  • Add your Lasercut Title, cut through your layout to create two separate pages and you are done !
